ABOUT ME

Author D Allen Rutherford
D Allen Rutherford

As a former U.S. Army Officer and international consultant, D Allen has traveled the globe visiting 19 different countries on three continents with articles published in international magazines. Later, as an adjunct professor, D Allen published multiple research papers in journals and international conference proceedings. However, he always harbored a desire to become a published fiction writer. D Allen now has three novels published with global distribution in hard-copy, eBook, and audio editions. A fourth novel is expected to be released in December 2018 with two other novel projects in the research stage.

D Allen earned his BS and MBA degrees from Henderson State University where he also took ROTC and commissioned an Infantry 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army at the age of 20. Later he was secondary branch qualified in Military Intelligence.

After serving a 14-month tour of duty with the Army in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq during the 1990/91 Gulf War, D Allen left the army and moved to the Middle East and began working as a consultant to governments, private investors, and members of various royal families throughout the Middle East.

Seeking to settle down, D Allen taught eighth-grade science for a few years before deciding to devote more time to his writing projects. Today, D Allen is semi-retired and lives in Arkansas with his wife. When he's not writing, D Allen and his wife enjoy fishing, traveling, and spending time with their five grandchildren.
